Jaishankar briefs Parliament on India-China disengagement- Economy Junction

External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar on Tuesday said that the India-China connections have truly enhanced which India continues to be “committed to engaging with China”.

Briefing the Lok Sabha on India-China connections along with the disengagement on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in japanese Ladakh, Jaishankar said that the reciprocal relationships in between India and China have truly been “abnormal” as a result of the 2020 Galwan Valley conflict when “peace, tranquillity in border areas were disturbed due to Chinese actions”.

He moreover said that full disengagement has truly at the moment been achieved in japanese Ladakh which India-China connections have truly seen some renovations. “The next priority for India would be to continue de-escalation,” Jaishankar said.
