Bundi: The controversy over the demolition of the 600 yr outdated Chhatri of the ninth King Rao Surajmal of Bundi State by the Kota Development Authority is growing day-to-day. In this matter, on Friday, former RTDC Chairman Dharmendra Rathore reached Tulsi village and took inventory of Rao Surajmal’s umbrella. He expressed grief over the demolition of this historic umbrella and condemned the motion of KDA. During this, he mentioned with the officers current and talked about re-construction of Chhatri on the authentic place and naming the airport after Rao Surajmal.
Former RTDC president and Congress chief Dharmendra Rathod mentioned that the Chhatri, which is acknowledged as a historic heritage, has been damaged, which is condemnable. He has spoken to KDA President Kota Collector Ravindra Goswami on cellphone. Rathore mentioned that Chhatri must be rebuilt on the similar place and the proposed airport must be named after Rao Surajmal. Rathore mentioned that the officers answerable for breaking the umbrella must be given the harshest punishment.

On this event, Congress MLA Harimohan Sharma has demanded reconstruction of Chhatri on the strains of Bunda Meena Panorama. During this, Devendra Budania, PCC member Satyesh Sharma, Mandal President Manveer Singh, Youth District President Nishant Nuwal, Seva Dal District President Rajkumar Saini and different officers had been current.
